We can find remarkable similarities between the insights of these thinkers and the modern “Science of Happiness.” Today the word is becoming independent in their thinking towards happiness.

One of the most important advantages of happiness is that happy individuals live longer and have fewer health difficulties such as high blood pressure and heart problems. Relationship plays an important role in happiness. Having good relations is the passport for happiness. Things are changing in today’s material world . people have more centric and do not care about their relationship. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF HAPPINESS 2022:
The International Day of Happiness takes place each year on March 20. The International Day of Happiness is a UN-sponsored annual event that promotes happiness as a universal human right. It also emphasizes how important happiness is to humanity. The non-profit Action for Happiness is organizing the campaign, which aims to reduce global inequality, end poverty, and protect the planet for future generations.
The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Build Back Happier,’ and it will focus on the global recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
On March 20, 2013, the first International Day of Happiness was observed. Years of campaigning by UN adviser Jayme Illien, who introduced the notion at the first-ever UN conference on Happiness on July 12, 2012, sparked the movement. Ndaba Mandela and Chelsea Clinton launched the first commemoration in March 2013 at a conference in New York City. To increase awareness of the importance of happiness for humanity, all UN member states are encouraged to participate in the event. World leaders and celebrities have already attended. Pharrell Williams, a singer-songwriter, was a big part of the 2013 celebration, which included the first-ever 24-hour global live streaming video of his global hit song ‘Happy’.

Over 2,500 years ago, the first happiness studies were conducted. Confucius, Socrates, Aristotle, and Buddha were great thinkers who dedicated their careers to the study of this subject. Though it has origins in a variety of fields, psychologists Dr Martin Seligman and Dr Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi are significant co-founders. Positive psychology is described as a “science of positive subjective experience, positive individual attributes, and positive institutions,” according to the authors.
